چکیده
The aim of this work was to evaluate the performances recently developedin vivo imaging device Line-Field Confocal Optical Coherence Tomography (LC-OCT, DAMAE Medical) compared Laser Scanning Microscopy (CLSM, Vivascope 1500, Mavig) from a qualitative point view and assessment epidermal thickness according age. We conducted mono-centric open-label study. A total 17 subjects divided into three groups (3–6 months, 5–7 years 20–25 years) were recruited. Acquisitions have been performed on volar forearm. CLSM allows horizontal plane visualization. LC-OCT horizontal, vertical, three-dimensional visualization with better resolution in vertical axis, wider field faster image acquisition CLSM. Full epidermis calculated as mean value between surface dermo-epidermal junction reconstruction for LC-OCT. both devices allow at cellular level. Results obtained give slight decrease full This result is accordance previous study using classical OCT but differs those without epidermis. pilot demonstrated ability skin different age their coherence. offers new way analysis specially pediatric applications. Larger studies are required further interpret discrepancies variation described by works.

Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography in Mice: Comparison with Confocal Scanning Laser Microscopy and Fluorescein Angiography
PURPOSE Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A) allows noninvasive visualization of retinal vessels in vivo. OCT-A was used to characterize the vascular network of the mouse retina and was compared with fluorescein angiography (FA) and histology. METHODS In the present study, OCT-A based on a Heidelberg Engineering Spectralis system was used to investigate the vascular network in mic...
متن کاملLaser Scanning Confocal Microscopy
Laser scanning confocal microscopy has become an invaluable tool for a wide range of investigations in the biological and medical sciences for imaging thin optical sections in living and fixed specimens ranging in thickness up to 100 micrometers. Modern instruments are equipped with 3-5 laser systems controlled by high-speed acousto-optic tunable filters (AOTFs), which allow very precise regula...
متن کاملConfocal laser scanning microscopy.
Many technological advancements of the past decade have contributed to improvements in the photon efficiency of the confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM). The resolution of images from the new generation of CLSMs is approaching that achieved by the microscope itself because of continued development in digital imaging methods, laser technology and the availability of brighter and more photos...

PURPOSE To assess the strength of the association between retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and optic disc topography measured with confocal retinal tomography (HRT II; Heidelberg Engineering, Dossenheim, Germany), optical coherence tomography (StratusOCT; Carl Zeiss Meditec, Inc., Dublin, CA), and scanning laser polarimetry (GDx with variable corneal compensator, VCC; Carl Zeiss Medit...
متن کاملFundus autofluorescence imaging compared with different confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscopes.
BACKGROUND With the advent of confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscopes (cSLO), fundus autofluorescence (FAF) resulting mainly from lipofuscin accumulation on the level of the retinal pigment epithelium can be visualised in vivo. Various cSLOs are available to document FAF. The authors analysed and compared results of FAF using three different instruments. METHODS Eight eyes of eight normal vol...
